The Management of the former Rivers State College of Arts and Science Rumuola, Port Harcourt has commended the Speaker and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly for passing into law the Bill presented to it by the Executive for conversion of the College into “Port Harcourt Polytechnic.”
In a statement issued by the Registrar of Port Harcourt Polytechnic, Dame Georgenia Benwoke, prayed God to continue to guide and direct the path of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The Registrar further states that the change in the name of the institution would reflect the true identity and status and significantly contribute to the overall manpower development of Rivers State, bearing in mind the priority of the Rivers State Government under the able leadership of the State Governor, Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike.
